The new year comes up to full speed again, and right from the start, we would like to introduce you to the latest software releases at Uniserv, which not only look appealing, but also convince with functionality. Take a look at new additions and improvements, such as Auto-Completion, Full-Text Search, or the release for the postal check.
Do your customers find that having to enter a complete address on a website is annoying, and on a mobile terminal is unreasonable and unacceptable? In this case, auto-completion helps you to provide an improved customer experience. After entering just a few characters it shows the user a list of suggestions to choose from. Auto-completion can be easily integrated into different applications, e.g. the web shop (for improving the customer’s experience), or the CRM system (for optimizing your own processes). Auto-completion is available either as an on-premises or SaaS version. The countries currently supported are Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, USA, Canada, Brazil and Russia. Today you use identity for avoiding duplicates immediately whilst entering data customer data into your system; and to make efficient searches in the system. Full-text search will now make it considerably easier to search for business partners in all your applications.
Previously, the information required for a search had to be entered in various prescribed fields. But full-text search now allows the user to enter all information in a single field, following which identity finds the relevant datasets in just a fraction of a second. This considerably improves the user’s experience, especially for applications with multiple possible search attributes, such as name, address, email-address, telephone number, customer number, bank data etc.
Full-text search can be easily used in addition to an already implemented duplicate check. Composition and updates of additional search indexes are performed automatically during already implemented procedures for initial loading or synchronisation with customer data.
This software release provides a new graphic interface for managing and configuring Uniserv real-time services. It allows you to configure and manage all services, irrespective as to which computer they are installed on, using a single uniform interface.
With the integrated Alert function, you can set up an email warning to give notification when a service fails, or when quality of service (QoS) levels drop below a preconfigured limit.
The new interface requires a HTML5-capable web browser. The server-side web application requires Tomcat 7 and is available for Linux and Windows. For more detailed information, please refer to the installation handbook.

As well as using the already available SOAP interface, this release allows you to address all Uniserv real-time services over a REST-API, and to integrate them even more flexibly and simply in web and other applications. REST-API has established itself as the de facto standard for integrating external services in dynamic HTML pages, and will be supported in all common programming language and development environments.
The Uniserv Client/Server protocol has been expanded with a conditionless variant for improved support of load balancing scenarios for applications that do not use the web service APIs mentioned. With this extension, requests at TCP/IP level can be distributed to different servers as required. Please note that:
