International address validation currently covers more than 190 countries / Ideal supplement to the expert system product range
Pforzheim, January 2006. Uniserv GmbH, a market leader in Data Quality Solutions for securing the quality of customer and address data, has just launched an internationally usable, interactive postal validation software called postWorld. The new software product can currently carry out an error-tolerant check of addresses from 192 countries, partly by postcode, place name and street, and correct them if necessary. The number of available countries is continually being increased. The software can be utilized as an inhouse solution via the service data processing centre of Uniserv, or via ASP (Application Service Providing).
The product characteristics of the postWorld international address validation software make it ideal for use in cases where smaller address databases from a large number of different countries have to be administered and validated. In this connection, the address validation can take place on the basis of a complete address or on the basis of address fragments. The user can decide for each product answer whether the validation should take place directly via the preselected country or, if no country can be assigned to the address, via all the available countries in postWorld.
Against this background, postWorld is an ideal addition to the Uniserv product family and rounds off the range of postal expert systems, which are currently available for 18 countries, including the USA and Canada. The main difference between the expert systems and postWorld is the reference data. The data of the expert systems normally covers the entire country and also enables a high-performance check of the highest quality in databases with millions of addresses. In comparison to this, postWorld works with reference data at a more general level and offers the possibility of carrying out basic postal check-ups within the available countries.
