Press Release from November 2008
- Integrated product suite for data cleansing from Uniserv enables efficient cleansing, enhancement, consolidation and optimization of databases
- User-friendly handling, Unicode capability and open, scalable and flexible structure
Pforzheim, October 2008. The cleansing of customer and non-customer data represents a decisive step in securing the quality of customer and business data in companies: An unsatisfactory data situation results in incorrect business decisions at the strategic level. At the operative level, the consequences are often lower revenue and earnings, high costs, dissatisfied customers, declining customer retention and a lower return on investment (ROI). Efficient data cleansing ensures the maximum data quality with regard to up-to-dateness, reliability and degree of detail and creates the basis for optimum decisions and processes within a closed
data quality cycle consisting of
analysis & profiling,
cleansing,
firewall and
monitoring. In this connection, the
DQ Batch Suite of the Pforzheim-based
Uniserv GmbH for Data Quality Solutions combines all the typical function sequences important for data cleansing in a tool with a flexible and open structure, including automation API and Unicode capability. In addition, a reporting module allows freely definable reports to be generated from the results of the data cleansing. Various data formats, such as CSV, dBase and Excel, and a wide range of databases such as SQL server, DB2 and Oracle are also supported.
The efficient cleansing of customer and business data
No matter whether data cleansing in old systems, migration projects, master data, risk management and
compliance activities is concerned, or measures for customer bonding, personalised communication or
dialog- and direct marketing, the
DQ Batch Suite as an "all-in-one" system and integrated workbench allows the quality of customer, financial, product and order data to be verified and cleansed fully automatically. The user is guided straightforwardly and transparently through all the processing steps via a standard graphic user interface. A particular advantage: The
DQ Batch Suite is Unicode-capable and is also suitable for international use.
Guaranteed data quality in all processes
The
DQ Batch Suite functions as a hub for all the cleansing projects in the company and creates the basis for all business processes and applications. Extensive functions are provided for the cleansing of both names and addresses as well as financial, product or order data, including e.g. address analysis and formatting, postal validation, duplicate recognition, data enhancement and also data consolidation. The individual functions are tailored to international applications and are available in country-specific versions with the respective knowledge bases and reference data.
The
DQ Batch Suite is supplied in various versions: from the workstation version for the execution of small projects for the cleansing of restricted quantities of data at the workplace up to the Enterprise Server for large enterprise-wide cleansing projects, in which very large quantities of data have to be processed and in which the highest demands of performance, parallelism, integration and automation are made.
