Data quality solution from Uniserv guarantees pro-active and continuous checking of the quality of customer and business data on the basis of individually defined rules
Pforzheim, March 2009. Data stored in companies is very rarely static, since it is permanently supplied from a great variety of applications and databases and in many cases also by external providers. In this respect, it is not always possible to check the correctness of the data immediately after receipt. Error-free address, financial, transaction, statistical or order data forms the basis for processes and decisions. An automatic and continuous check to ensure the consistently high quality of all the information provides a remedy here. Against this background, the Pforzheim-based Uniserv GmbH for Data Quality Solutions offers the DQ Monitor, a powerful and flexibly adaptable monitoring tool for the most varied areas of application. An ad hoc check can therefore be immediately initiated e.g. after data transfer or consolidation. It is also possible to define precise rules and maximum or threshold values for regular data quality projects. As a result, the progress and results of data quality measures such as data matching can be determined. The pro-active monitoring of existing and new data saves time and also ensures that countermeasures can be initiated in due time. In addition, the DQ Monitor uses the scalability of the existing database platforms, can be rapidly implemented and guarantees a low TCO (total cost of ownership).
The DQ Monitor is available in two versions for all standard databases and with multi-processor support. The Entry Server is suitable for small to medium-sized data quality projects with one to six employees, the Advanced Server is tailored to the requirements of medium-sized to large projects and/or heterogeneous system environments. It can be used as a stand-alone module or in combination with the Uniserv solutions DQ Explorer, DQ Batch Suite and DQ Real-Time Services. Together these four solutions form the complete Data Quality Cycle and seamlessly cover all the data quality processes in companies.
In addition to the DQ Monitor, Uniserv presented its considerably extended complete portfolio of internationally usable software and services for the quality assurance of customer and non-customer data at the CallCenterWorld from 17th to 19th February 2009. Industry specialists could also inform themselves about the extensive spectrum of services of the long-standing Uniserv OEM partner B&L OCR Systeme in Berlin. B&L has made a name for itself as a producer and vendor of products and solutions for automatic data acquisition. Its main areas of expertise are response management in direct marketing, especially with hand-written addresses, and automatic data extraction from unstructured incoming faxes.
