After SAP R/3 and AS/400, Uniserv is now offering an additional, completely new product family for Oracle users. This group of products involving the management of addresses includes - aside from the interactive address comparison and retrieval system (OE-mail for Oracle®) - postal validation and correction products for several European countries (OE-post f�r Oracle®) and the respective geocoding systems. Energie Baden-Württemberg EnBW, Karlsruhe, is one of the companies that are active as a pilot user.

The products will be available to Oracle users as basis technology within CRM, ERP, data warehousing and additional products that are connected with large amounts of addresses. The applications are completely integrated into the Oracle environment, providing numerous advantages. For instance, the address components can be used directly on all Oracle client platforms and can use Oracle development tools via Oracle PL/SQL Package function calls. The address database is likewise automatically synchronized with the OE-mail index pool as the transactions are with the Oracle database. The integrity of the entire system is ensured, particularly even when updates are partially implemented on the address database with programs and procedures that do not contain any address management functions. A master console monitors and controls the entire system. In addition, the system is quite scalable, especially due to the fact that the OE servers can optionally run on the company computers or on the same computer as the Oracle database.

The new product series is available for all generally used UNIX derivatives and for WindowsNT/2000. The address management components are utilizable for the databases Oracle8®, Oracle8i™ and Oracle9i Application Server Enterprise Edition. This product family will be supplemented with additional national versions, various geocoding systems and a solution for address conversion.
