Uniserv solutions under mySAP CRM and SAP R/3 harmonize group-wide address management at Deutsche Börse AG
Pforzheim, Germany – July 2003. Deutsche Börse AG is optimizing its client and address management with IT solutions from Uniserv GmbH, Pforzheim. The leading international technology enterprise for e-commerce in securities and derivatives made the decision to implement the Uniserv tools against the background of a planned address management harmonization across the entire Group. What was needed was a system that would successively accept, check and correct all client data from the most diverse sources and then make the data accessible in one database for all users.
Functioning together with the existing in-house mySAP CRM system, the Uniserv solutions ensure that the addresses already in the database are always correct and that the handling of new data is standardized and secure. Foreign addresses, which comprise about 40% of the data, are also checked.
The system will be unified one step at a time, and when the final stage is completed as planned in 2005 and all departments are integrated, a database of 300,000 to 400,000 correct postal addresses is anticipated.
From heterogeneous to homogeneous
The addresses of the Deutsche Börse AG comprise the basis for regular mailings of ad hoc announcements, weekly reports of the legal department as well as campaigns of the marketing and sales department. Even the invitations to the annual shareholders' meeting are processed using this data.
After Uniserv was awarded the contract in December 2002 and even before the existing addresses were transferred into the new system, the data was run through a postal verification check in Uniserv's computer center in Pforzheim, and the bulk of the duplicates were then purged. Including the transfer time, only about two hours were needed for the actual plug-and-play installation. The Uniserv tools with SAP certified integration meet all of the cutting-edge requirements for optimizing interaction and customer dialog via the central management and maintenance of address data under mySAP CRM: post for mySAP.com™ provides postal address validation, mail for mySAP.com™ provides address retrieval and customer identification. Standardization of existing addresses to conform to a uniform structure is guaranteed as well. Furthermore, error-tolerant search methods ensure that when entering new addresses or changing existing ones, duplicates in the database are avoided as far as possible. At the same time, tei tools upgrade mySAP CRM with essential functionalities for business processes at the front end.
