Data Quality Monitor
The Data Quality Monitor monitors the data quality according to the rules you have specified. If defined limits are exceeded, it raises the alarm. The Data Quality Monitor is used e.g. for the quality monitoring of product, financial, transaction, statistical or order data.
Typical use scenarios
- Ad-hoc: Check after data acceptance.
- Project-specific: Check of the progress as part of a data quality project.
- Long-term: Regular check of the specified rules.
Functions of monitoring
- Creation, administration and check of data quality rules:
- The rules are stored in SQL or stored procedures.
- Limit values which trigger an alarm if they are exceeded can also be specified for rules.
- Rules are aggregated into jobs.
- The monitoring processes are either executed manually (ad-hoc) or automatically via schedulers at any desired time (e.g. at night, when there is no impact on the daily workload).
Functions of problem management
- Notification by e-mail if specified rules and limits are not complied with
- Statistics about trends over time.
- Administration of time-based versions of a rule.
- Creation of individual reports via access to the repository
