FAQs about the Processing of Relocation Information
What advantage does relocation have compared to other solutions offered on the market?
The Uniserv solution makes it possible to assign different quality levels to the relocation hits – ranging from "quite certain" to "ambiguous" to "uncertain". Depending on the application, the selected quality level can be accepted from the address comparison. Example: when transmitting database files, only the "certain" hits are accepted, but for a mailing campaign even the "uncertain" hits are accepted.
What must I pay attention to when I wish to use the relocation database?
The regulations for use of the relocation database are established by Deutsche Post Adress GmbH & Co. KG. Further information is available at

Does it make sense to do the relocation processing both in a batch and in dialogs?
This question cannot be answered generally. For processing that is directly related to direct advertising promotions, we recommend carrying out relocations only within a batch processing, since an online correction could only be made afterwards anyway, i.e. in handling the response. Under certain circumstances an online check/correction makes sense prior to mailing goods so that delivery is not delayed.
