Uniserv have successfully contributed to the 7th Annual Chief Data Officer Information Quality Symposium at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
On July 17th-19th, 2013, Uniserv have successfully contributed to the 7th Annual Chief Data Officer Information Quality (MIT CDOIQ) Symposium which was held at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, USA.
The Chief Data Officer Information Quality (MIT CDOIQ) Symposium is an annual symposium where the thought leaders gather to discuss the challenges and the future of Data Management. One of the key trends was the rise of the Chief Data Officer (CDO), and the impact they were having on businesses.
With around 200 attendees this year the MIT Information Quality Symposium was the place where both Chief Data Officers and Data Professionals discussed the future of Information Management. Uniserv were invited to contribute to the Symposium with a presentation and discussion. This was delivered by Dr. Christiana Klingenberg, entitled “Creating the Optimum Value from Your Data Asset with Data Quality Scorecarding”.
The Information Quality Symposium is organized annually under the direction of Dr. Richard Y. Wang. Richard is an internationally recognized researcher, Director of the MIT Information Quality Program (MITIQ) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a data quality industry expert. Richard has put the term Information Quality on the intellectual map with his numerous publications on that topic. Richard Wang also presented Uniserv the certificate from MIT with the recognition of Uniserv’s valuable contribution to the Event.
Accompanying the Symposium there was a vendor exhibition with selected vendors presenting their Data Quality portfolios. These were the organizations known for their thought leadership in the field of Information Management. Uniserv as one of those thought leaders successfully presented their innovations and plans in Data Management. Many of the attendees who visited Uniserv’s booth were considering the current state and the future of Data Governance and the influence of the data quality lifecycle on the success of the organization. With their innovative approach Uniserv have a lot to tell and show regarding both topics.
Ulrich Sohn, Uniserv’s International Sales Director says: “With this event we have increased our exposure in the North American market and got some very interesting data quality leads. Moreover, we have gathered a valuable experience and exchanged the opinion about which are the Data Management trends for the upcoming years. We now see that Uniserv with our offer and research is definitely delivering what the market wants!” David Mead, Director Partner and Strategic Relationships in UK & US added: “The conference was excellent this year with very interesting tracks over the three days. From a thought leadership point of view we were able to promote Uniserv in a positive light as a forward thinking innovative company for all the current and upcoming CDO’s.”
