Third-party services and cookies

Use, functions and types of cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser. They contain various data, e.g. duration of the website visit or user input. They may originate from us as a website provider (so-called first-party cookies) or, in cooperation with third parties, also from them (so-called third-party cookies) and can be intended for storage for different lengths of time (duration of page use, from several weeks up to years). You can limit or disable the storage and reading of cookies by "do not track", but then the full functionality of the website might no longer be available. You can also delete cookies from your computer’s hard drive at any time.

First party cookies

Our website only uses so-called "session cookies" as technically required cookies. These are used to store data relevant for the website visit or to identify your computer during your visit and for subsequent visits (e.g. simplified password entry). They ensure full technical functionality of the website. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.

Web analysis

Range measurement

In order to design the website in line with demand and to continuously improve it, this online service uses a specially modified version of Google Analytics for the statistical evaluation of visitor access. We use this range measurement on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO).

Google Analytics is a web analysis service of Google Ltd. ("Google", Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). We have concluded a contract with Google for commissioned data processing in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO.

We have activated IP anonymisation on this website. This anonymises the IP address for geolocalisation by shortening it before further processing. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Google server. However, in contrast to the standard Google Analytics version, the version integrated by us and modified for extreme data economy does not create cookies and does not transmit the usual client or user IDs to Google, which would enable tracking. The data transmitted in this way is only suitable for anonymised, statistical evaluations and is deleted after 14 months.

Evalanche

When using the services of our Uniserv Academy, as well as the newsletter or downloads, we use the "Evalanche" service to be able to tailor our offers more precisely to your needs. This means that the information entered in contact forms for the Uniserv Academy, as well as for downloads or newsletters, is registered using Evalanche. If we determine that you have a high interest in certain services, we will use this information to address you specifically. This gives us the opportunity to better tailor our services to your needs and interests and thus improve our offers to you. This analysis only takes place if you have filled in a contact form and a profile registered in Evalanche. If you wish to object to this process, please let us know at datenschutz(at)uniserv<dot>com

The legal basis for the use of Evalanche is the legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.

Social plugins Twitter, Facebook, Xing, Linkedin

We have implemented the social media buttons on our website as 'Shariff social media buttons'. When you call up one of our pages that contains the corresponding social media buttons, no data is transmitted to the respective social media network. Only when you click on the corresponding button will you be connected to the corresponding social network.
If you click the corresponding button to use the service of this provider, you leave the Uniserv Web site and it is possible that the respective provider records usage data and, if necessary, stores this in server logs. The same applies if you access our profiles in the respective social media by other means. Uniserv GmbH has no influence on the type and scope of the data collected or stored. Further information on the data collected by the respective social network provider, its storage and use, can be found in the respective data protection declaration.

YouTube

On some of our websites we embed YouTube videos. Operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established.

The videos are embedded in the advanced privacy mode of YouTube, which blocks the setting of YouTube cookies until an active click on playback. By clicking on the play button, you give your consent for YouTube to set cookies on the device you are using, which can also be used to analyze usage behavior for market research and marketing purposes. You can find more information on the use of cookies by YouTube in the Google cookie policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/types?hl=en. We expressly point out that, despite the integration of the videos in extended privacy mode, YouTube may transfer data to Google DoubleClick. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by first logging out of your YouTube account and deleting any cookies that have been set.
