Newsletter
If you would like to receive the Uniserv newsletter offered on this website, your valid email address is required. The newsletter is available in the footer of every single web page. Furthermore, if you are signing up for a webinar, downloading a download requiring registration or by ordering a calendar, you can also subscribe to the newsletter.
We will only use the data provided during registration to send you the desired newsletter at regular intervals. In order to avoid newsletter subscriptions by unauthorised third parties, the so-called double opt-in procedure is used, i.e. the newsletter is only sent after you have confirmed the subscription request via a link sent to your email address.
Each time you receive the newsletter, you will be given the opportunity to change your personal details or unsubscribe with a simple mouse click. Your data will not be passed on to third parties at any time. If our newsletter contains advertising references to third-party products, these will be sent exclusively by us.
The legal basis for sending the newsletter and the necessary storage of your data is your consent to Art. 6 para. 1 (a) GDPR.
Individually tailored offers
We want to provide you with individual offers as far as possible. Therefore, we use the information you send us, and the information automatically generated when you read our newsletter, to provide information and offers tailored to you and your interests. We use existing information such as receipt and read confirmations, opening and clicks of emails for this purpose.
By analysing and evaluating this information, we are able to provide you with advertisements that are individually tailored to your interests. We wish to make our advertising as useful and interesting as possible for you. Therefore, you will receive advertising such as newsletters, topic notes, event and product recommendations by email or postal advertising corresponding to your interests.
The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR (balance of interest).
Tracking of newsletter usage
With our newsletter, you will be asked for your consent to allow the dispatch system to identify whether the delivery was successful; whether and when you opened the respective newsletter, whether you clicked on any links included in it and whether you have sent an answer. This data is used, e.g. to better align the automated sending of future newsletters with your interests and to estimate their success. The data will be processed exclusively for these purposes. The data will not be passed on to third parties.
You can cancel delivery of the newsletter at any time by using the Unsubscribe link included in each email. Your email address and user account, including historical information, will be deleted semi-annual after you unsubscribe.
The legal basis for the tracking is Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR (balance of interest).
Webinar
If you register for a free webinar that requires registration, we require the following information:

- Email address
When registering/participating in webinars, the only personal information stored is that which is provided by you for the conclusion and execution of the contracts for the webinars (information about the person and designation of the webinar for which registration has been made or participated in or not) and is directly related to their fulfilment.
We log the use of the webinar by you on our access systems, so that we can provide proof of access for half a year. This serves the security of the system and your data. Following this period, these log entries are automatically deleted.
If you no longer wish to remain registered, you can cancel your online access by sending an informal email to datenschutz@uniserv.com.
The legal basis for storing the data for setting up the account is Art. 6 para. 1 (b) GDPR.
We want to make you individual offers as far as possible. We therefore use the information you send us and which is automatically generated when you register for a webinar to create information and offers tailored to you and your interests. We use existing information such as receipt and read confirmations, openings and clicks of emails for this purpose.
By analysing and evaluating this information, we are able to provide you with advertisements that are individually tailored to your interests. We would like to make our advertising as useful and interesting as possible for you. You will therefore receive advertising such as newsletters, topic notes, event and product recommendations by email or letter advertising that correspond to your interests.
The legal basis for use of the data for these services is Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.
Third-party services, cookies and consent management
Use, functions and types of cookies, management of your consent
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser. They contain various data, e.g. duration of the website visit or user input. They may originate from us as the website provider and, in the case of cooperation with third parties, also from them, and may be intended to be stored for different periods of time (duration of site use, several weeks up to years).
You can limit or disable the storage and reading of cookies by "do not track", but then the full functionality of the website might no longer be available. You can also configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse to accept all cookies. Furthermore, cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time. This is possible in all common internet browsers. If the setting of cookies is deactivated in the browsers used, not all functions may be fully usable. In addition, you can automatically delete the cookies from your computer’s hard drive at any time, for example with the help of special software programmes.
For the required management of your consent, we use the Consent Management Tool CCM19. CCM19 is a service of Papoo Software & Media, Bonn. Programming and operation are based in Germany.
CCM19 enables you to give consent to data processing for the respective domains and websites as well as to make use of your right of revocation for consents already given. CCM19 lists the cookies of the third-party providers with their individual lifetime. After expiry, the cookies are automatically deleted. By clicking on the respective button in CCM19, you have the option of rejecting or accepting all third-party cookies or making an individual selection.
CCM19 stores the following information anonymously as a log file:
- Date and time of page view
- Random ID
- Consent status
The storage of this data serves the purpose of obtaining and documenting required consents to data processing. It is used to fulfil a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1(c) GDPR. Uniserv or the provider of CCM19 does not process the data itself. The data is not passed on to third parties. Log files are only accessed by prior arrangement.
Use of the Google Tag Manager
On our company websites, the Google Tag Manager of Google Ltd ("Google", Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is used. Google Tag Manager is a tool for organizing all third-party tags on the company website. In addition, it controls when these tags are triggered.
Using the so-called Tag Management System (TMS), tracking codes and associated code fragments (so-called tags) are integrated and updated on the corporate website. On the web-based Tag Manager user interface, tracking tags can be set up and triggers can be defined by which the tags are triggered. Variables can also be created, simplifying and automating the tag configurations that are made.
Cookies and other code fragments are deployed via the Tag Manager. When using the Google Tag Manager itself, the IP address is transmitted to Google via the call of the script gtm.js. Thereby, it is not excluded that a transmission to so-called third countries takes place.
Further information on the use of the data transmitted during use can be viewed at https://policies.google.com/privacy?gl=DE&hl=en.
Please note that American authorities, such as intelligence agencies, could possibly gain access to personal data due to American laws such as the Cloud Act, which are inevitably exchanged with Google due to the Internet Protocol (TCP) when integrating this service.
Use of cookies on the website www.uniserv.com
Our company website uses technically required cookies. They ensure full technical functionality of the website. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.
Since the websites are associated with further activities such as streaming, web analysis, download and registration, we additionally set cookies from third-party providers on the company website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.
Use of cookies on the news.uniserv.com subdomain
On the subdomain, we offer content for download or registration on special web pages. The subdomain uses technically necessary cookies. These cookies ensure the full technical functionality of the subdomain. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.
The web pages on the subdomain are connected to further activities that we carry out with various third-party providers. For this purpose, we additionally set cookies of these third-party providers. The legal basis is our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.
Use of cookies on the subdomain connect.uniserv.com (Uniserv CONNECT)
As part of marketing campaigns, we place advertisements. If you access the connect.uniserv.com subdomain via such an advertisement and register with us, we store the fact that you have visited our website by clicking on the advertisement. This is done in such a way that the registration e-mail contains, in addition to the user name, e-mail address and language, a parameter that enables us to identify the origin and the advertisement. The legal basis for the processing of this parameter is your consent in accordance with § 25 TTDSG. The data will be deleted when the business relationship ends, so that there is no longer a purpose or legal basis for the processing.
Additional data protection information for the subdomain connect.uniserv.com (Uniserv CONNECT)
To facilitate contact, your email address, and optionally, other personal information (name, address, company, telephone number, gender, picture) are saved in your account in the Uniserv CONNECT portal (account data).
To enable use of our services and for the associated service invoicing, you must provide your basic contact details (name, email address, address, and telephone number). For verification purposes, we also keep a record of important actions and changes to your account in a so-called audit trail. This includes details of important emails sent to your email address, time stamp, IP address and changes made, as well as any possible personal data affected. You can view this audit trail in the portal at any time.
For support and error handling purposes, we also store server and application log files containing IP addresses, details of browser configuration and HTTP requests (Server and Application Log).
When your account is closed and the final invoice has been paid, your account data will be stored until the end of the financial year and then erased. Entries in the audit trail will be erased within three months following the end of the customer relationship (Account Deletion). Server and application logs are generally deleted within three months. Protection of your personal data entered for processing by our services is strictly regulated by our Data Protection and Data Security Concept, which you can also find in your customer portal.
Remarketing
Re-marketing tools are services that enable optimized, target-group-specific addressing via the advertising placed on the website. We use the following products for this purpose.
Use of the remarketing function of Google Inc.
The provider uses the remarketing or "similar target groups" function of Google Ltd ("Google") on the website. By means of this function, the Provider can target visitors to the Website with advertising by displaying personalized, interest-based advertising ads to visitors to the Provider's Website when they visit other websites in the Google Display Network. To perform the analysis of website usage, which forms the basis for the creation of interest-based advertisements, Google uses so-called cookies. For this purpose, Google stores a small file with a sequence of numbers in the browsers of the website visitors. This number is used to record visits to the website as well as anonymized data about the use of the website. No personal data of the website visitors is stored. If you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will be shown advertisements that are highly likely to take into account previously accessed product and information areas. If you do not agree with the use of cookies, you can prevent it by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics once or by rejecting the cookies via our cookie settings dialogue.
Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers by visiting the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative at https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and implementing the further information on opting out provided there. Further information on Google Remarketing as well as Google's privacy policy can be found at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=en.
Use of Google Ads conversion tracking
As part of our advertising measures, we use Google Ads with the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited (see above). With the help of this tool, we can better adapt our advertising measures to your interests and needs.
With conversion tracking, we can track when you click on one of our ads and then perform another action, such as visiting our website. Through Google Ads, we can therefore record what happens when a user clicks on our Google Ads ad. We can see which keywords, ads, ad groups and ad campaigns are successful because they lead to a desired customer action. By means of a set cookie, we recognize for a certain time that you originally opened our website via the ad.
The cookie (conversion tracking tag) is stored on your computer or mobile device if you have given your consent to this. The legal basis for the processing is your consent according to § 25 TTDSG. You can revoke your consent at any time and change or revoke it via the cookie settings.
Google may also process this information in the USA. Currently, there is no so-called adequacy decision for the USA. The legal basis for data processing in the USA are therefore standard contractual clauses. This ensures that the level of data protection corresponds to that in the EU and that your data is adequately protected. Consent pursuant to Art. 49 GDPR is also still required for these processing operations. If you do not give this consent or have revoked your consent, no processing will take place with Google Ads. You can find more information on the standard contractual clauses here https://business.safety.google/intl/en/adsprocessorterms/ and in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
The information is deleted after three months.
